We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Post your ideas
Post ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,
Post an idea
Upvote ideas that matter most to you
Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Enable DVM Studio to be able to quickly capture environment data needed for problem resolution
We are sometimes asked to provide detailed information for a Case we have opened on DVM. Information includes the current build, IN00, trace browse, map definitions and sometimes the underlying data that is causing the issue. If functionality wa...
Follow security best practice (CIS) and mount images as read-only (a read only root file system via readOnlyRootFilesystem: true). Then mounted volumes from outside the container could be used for any data that needs to be persistent.
All pods from helm test should end in a "Completed" state and not an "Error" state.
As the installer of Watson Assistant on Cloud Pak for Data, seeing anything that says "Error" is concerning and encourages me to open up a support case with IBM. A pod ending up in an "Error" status suggests that something has gone wrong in the te...
Watson Assistant Web Chat persist state when refreshing page in browser
It would be good to maintain state of chats on on page refreshes. It is usually available with all web chat widgets. For example Zendesk presists state when page is refreshed.I assume they will be keeping visitor ID in the cookie
Let us use a programming language to control the conversation flow instead of forcing us to use the dialog editor

Currently, the "option" response type of a dialog node supports 20 options. This limit is very low, because in many cases this type of response is used to list branches, cities, etc. It should be at least 100 options the limit.

Fuzzy matching is good at picking up single or plural versions of the same word in our Entities. However, we noticed that if the user request has the exact match with the entity, the correct intent, which uses this entity, is identified with the h...
I see a common issue when developing a complex Assistant. finding bugs and navigate.. it's a complex and not fast task to do. This is because IBM Watson Asssitant does not have a find tool, to search entire node structure for specific terms, and t...
Option for Default to JSON Editor When Viewing Node Details
Our dialog can become very complex, using complex JSON objects and expression language. The context editor does not show enough information so every time we view a node, we immediately switch to the JSON editor. This becomes tedious when we are do...
