We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Post your ideas
Post ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,
Post an idea
Upvote ideas that matter most to you
Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Ability to sync tables to HDR & RSS secondaries when converting from RAW to STANDARD mode.
It is significantly faster to load a table in TYPE(RAW) mode than TYPE(STANDARD) mode. However, this option is not practical for sites using HDR and/or RSS secondary servers for replication as RAW mode tables do not replicate forcing the site to b...

Status:In an application using ESQL/C authentication with instance users, a user can change his password by using sql with a passwort length greater than the 18 character limit imposed by the struct InetLogin (see case TS003855467). After the chan...
Allow storage expansion and extension during an archive
Need the ability to use onspaces, onparams, & API functions to manage storage allocation while an archive is executing. This is especially true with auto-extension of chunks and auto-expanding dbspaces by adding chunks automatically from the s...

raw table load and copy of raw table data availability read only secondary, RSS sec. in a HDR cluster. A big one for us. How do we load billion + row table in a HDR cluster without consuming too many logical logs?Is there a way to load a raw table...
We need pure .NET Core driver. Currently we have to compile our programs with flags for 32 or 64 bit code which is against the idea of .NET Core portability. Also it leads to errors when we sent assemblies to incorrect environment.
Enhance EXPLAIN in order to no longer need Informix server access
Currently Informix EXPLAIN generates a server side file. For developers that are working from remote machines, it becomes problematic to retrieve the explain files when they have restricted access to the Informix Server machine.

When a checkpoint occurs on a primary it blocks the checkpoint temporaily while the checkpoint is applied to the HDR. On an RSS this can be prevented by configuring the config value RSS_NONBLOCKING_CKPT so log replay continues during checkpointing...
When a database has been created in a single (not root) dbspace and the dbspace has been greatly expanded with large tables that are subsequently moved to separate dbspace, the chunks used for original dbspace expansion may contain TBLSpace extent...
