Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Improved Db2 backup thread (db2bm and db2med) binding/distribution on NUMA systems
On a large NUMA systems with a very fast storage and a fast backup target memory affinity might affect backup time as well as the overall system performance during the activity. Currently, with the Db2's automatic thread NUMA binding (DB2_RESOURCE...
Direct read of Archive logs from TSM server when using db2 rollforward on crossnode restore operations
Usually our Db2 backups to TSM. Occasionally we restore a Db2 system in another operating center from where we have to access to the TSM server for Restore/rollforward.In the target environment the Db2 archive logs are extracted via db2adutl after...
Actually we need to define some environment variables like DSMI_DIR, DSMI_CONFIG to implement a TSM backup. So in case we forget to configure this at first moment we will need to do an instance restart. Would be better to consider some dynamic par...

Since the objects on the TSM server are expired remotely, DB2 is not aware of this because the local HISTORY file does not sync with TSM. What we are requesting is a method to synchronize DB2's HISTORY file with the TSM server object list. This wi...
VLDB Strategy for historcal databases using RP for time segmentation
