job select statement improvement

I have hosts with exclusive resources and some with a dynamic resource. A few hosts have two exclusive resources. The job submit: $ bsub -R 'select[ defined(res1) || (defined(res2) && dynamic_pool==loaner_host)]' I would expect this job to...

allow to limit cpu usage to the number of slots requested

Hello,, currently, when a user submit a job, there's no way in LSF to limit the cpu consumption. recently, we discover that it's possible to limit cpu usage OS side using cgroup, by putting a value in the 'cpu.cfs_quota_us' file of the '/sys/fs/...

Set a limit for service class

It would be useful to set a limit in lsb.resources for Serive Class "SLA" in order give some minimum guarantee with SLA and set a maximium number of resorucese usable in this SLA.It would be excellent to indicate the limit with the number of nodes...

Add possibility to assign cores from the same CCX in AMD CPUs to make use of the same L3 cache.

With a specific 2-core workload we noticed significant performance improvements of about 50% in shorter runtime when both cores reside on the same L3 cache group (CCX) of an AMD EPYC CPU.Therefore it would be very beneficial to be able to have LSF...

LSF connector error while configuring K8s

kubectl create -f $LSF_BINDIR/../../misc/kubernetes/parallelJob-v1alpha1.yaml > /tmp/IBM/parallelJob-v1alpha1.yaml.log error: resource mapping not found for name: "paralleljobs.ibm.com" namespace: "" from "/home/shared/lsfhome/10.1/linux3.10-...

When submitting a job to a CGROUPv2 Compatible System Modify cpu.shares based upon the task count requested by the job

LSF would support CGROUPv2 better, if it adjusted the number of CPU shares for a job based upon the number of cpus/tasks requested by the job.

GPU Guaranteed Resource Reservation

Currently Guaranteed Resource Pools in LSF can fulfill SLAs based on slots, memory, licenses, or packages (slots + memory). With more demand for GPU resources in a cluster, it would be beneficial to add GPU resources to a Guaranteed Resource Pool....

Enhance GSLA to enable in-queue preemption

The Guaranteed SLA system allows sharing of Resources defined by ServiceClasses. We would like to use that to allow two or more groups to pool and share compute slots, wherein they typically unused slots would be available to all of the groups. Th...

Enable option for hardcoding GPU memory request like its available for CPU memory request

At this moment IBM offers features of hardcoding CPU memory. We have implemented this feature in our cluster with esub scripting. Similarly we want to have same feature available for GPU memmory (gmem) to be hardcoded. I have raised ticket to our ...

bjobs -o reserved_mem or bhosts -o reserved_mem

To see how much memory is reserved on a host, we need to parse the bhosts -l <hostname> command, and it doesn't give us info about which job is reserving how much memory. I'd either like to see one of the following: bhosts -o 'jobid reserved...
