Support Host Based ELIM Total/Available and Reservation information in JSON output

In Fix Pack 14, the bhosts command has been enhanced to support the "-o all -json" option, and thank you. However, what is missing are the host level ELIM Total/Available and Reserved values that you can currently only obtain through the "bhosts -...

Allow Flagging Jobs for Reservation Through Rules and/or Through a "bsub --plan" Option

Today, reservations in LSF are handled by the Top X jobs by ordered by Dynamic Priority using the variable MAX_JOB_RESERVE. We believe that this is a shotgun approach. We have millions of jobs a day that require 1 cores and less than 1GB of memory...

badmin appclose/appopen for maintenance of a specific application

For maintenance reasons it would be helpful to close/open applications for dispatching like for queues and hosts by the command badmin qclose/qopen and badmin hclose/hopen respectively.

Create a way to prevent a job with an SLA from using another SLA's hosts/slots/memory if the other SLA is under-committed

LSF hosts come and go, and when you create an allocation that uses exact numbers, there are times when a Pool can be over and under committed. In the case of an under-committed pool today, consumers from other pools can leverage free slots from th...

In the world of Multi-core processors, the context switches per second has become a KPI. It should be a standard performance metric like mem, r1m, etc.

When we try to oversubscribe hosts, it would be very beneficial to have ctx/second available as a base metric. It's available in all OS' these days. We could set a busy threshold for that say above 40k/second. For the longest time (maybe 31 years)...

Allow Session Scheduler to support the queue level Job Starter when the Session Spreads to Multiple Hosts

In testing of Session Scheduler, it works perfectly, on secondary hosts, it does not seem to respect our job starter which will limit our ability to deploy Session Scheduler more broadly. Closing this gap is important.

Allows Session Scheduler Account Directory and moving parts to support the lsf.conf variable LSB_STDOUT_DIRECT.

We recently were able to confirm that if the user leaves off the SSCHED_ACCT_DIR in lsb.params, that they can set the same as an environment variable, and eventually the Session Scheduler account file will end up in that location, but the users re...

bjobs should show LIMITs ( MEMLIMIT / RUNLIMIT ) from queues or applications, please improve it.

Currently LIMITs settings ( MEMLIMIT / RUNLIMIT ) from queues or applications did NOT show in "bjobs -l" output, only job-level setting did. But the LIMITs are still effective in job environment, so it may deliver wrong information to user until j...

Improve existing ZOMBI handling with regards to both SBD and MBD process flows

It will reduce the persistence of ZOMBI jobs in LSF to a shorter time period. Here are the two areas that need improvement. 1) Currently, even though the SBD daemons may be running on a host, a job will remain in ZOMBI status until the SBD is rest...
