dmgetsubscriptionstatus command reports the same status for Failed and Inactive subscriptions
dmgetsubscriptionstatus command gives the same output for Failed and Inactive subscription and that is "Idle". If we are to run an User-Exit Program to automate the start-up for Failed subscriptions, we aren't able to identify the failed ones.
Ideally every CDC Event ID should be unique and have a Unique description or Event Text. What we noticed is that the event ID 6645 could mean any of the following scenarios: 1. Exception occurred during replication. Exception at continue reading I...
Trigger an alert mechanism whenever a DML transaction is captured in between 2 DDL transactions on the same table
If we run a DDL-DML-DDL scenario and update the metadata of the table using dmreaddtable command and resume mirroring, the data is getting mapped incorrectly. This has been observed where the datatypes are similar and CDC starts capturing data wit...

Enable InfoSphere CDC for Microsoft SQL Server on Linux
We want to run the Microsoft SQL Server agent in a container on the mainframe. Which requires the agent to be ported to Linux. When running the agent on the mainframe it will be much easier to manage high availability of the whole CDC solution.
With our current storage configuration, CDC is giving a IEC032I E37-08 on our sysut1. It's our understanding that CDC does not currently allow multivolume datasets. We're requesting that 'feature' be added.
