At present the size of an index is reported only in aggregate for all indexes on a table. It would be ideal to know the actual index size in bytes per individual index;

currently, this can only be done by recreating the tablespace/tables, and Export/Load all the Data, very onerous.

Enforce index name uniqueness at table level; not at schema level(RIMS)

currently all index names for a partiuclar schema must be unique. This is painful when there are tens of thousands of indexes. They want to be able to use duplicate schema names as long as the name is unique per table that the index is defined on.
