We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Post your ideas
Post ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,
Post an idea
Upvote ideas that matter most to you
Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Installation procedure without "cloudctl" command nor GitHub
For security reasons, we would like to be able to install CP4D and the add-ons : without having to download anything from GitHub (we would prefer to download everything from the IBM container image registry "cp.icr.io" or from an IBM RPM package r...
RStudio or Python Runtime environments are automatically restarted when memory limits are reached
RStudio or Python Runtime environments are automatically restarted when memory limits are reached without any information to the data scientist and all results are gone. A better behavior would be if the application RStudio or Jupither/lab would g...
Default RStudio environment definition should be increased to 2 vCPU and 4 GB RAM.
As Data Scientist we are working a lot with RStudio. The default RStudio environment definition (1 vCPU and 1 GB RAM) is too small for RStudio. The limit of 1 GB is quickly reached and the pod is then restarted. And you do not understand what happ...
CP4D - DataStage will be used in the data flows defined in our datalake using Postgres and Azure SQL. Because we are required to use the ODBC Connector for the connections we require the capability of doing Bulk Loads , exactly as this is offered ...
As customers apply some patches, the container image size inside the registry grows.
Also, in the air-gap environment, the downloaded container image storage directory will also be large.
I want you to implement a mechanism to delete these ima...
Evolve Data Refinement to more advanced capabilities
To make Data Refinement more attractive to Data Scientists, more advanced capabilities should be available, like some of the features available in AutoAI today, but still with the opportunity to build models manually. Like Train/Test Split, Encodi...
Resources are always an issue in Cloud Pak for Data, especially in small environments with only 48 cores. In installations that support “native” Data Science use cases (that is customers, just using Jupyter notebooks in WSL, doing their stuff in P...
We miss a feature to send alerting SNMP traps about WSL alerts (see https://content-dsxlocal.mybluemix.net/docs/content/SSAS34_current/local/alerts.html)
Currently only mail to administrators works. This is not very well integration into our comp...
Ability to use an integrated full featured IDE like code-server for complex data wrangling, framework development and modularization of programs
Many data science code development tasks are analytical and can be done through the notebooks available.
There are however tasks that require more sophisticated code develpment for which notebooks are not as suitable.
For these it would be benef...
