IBM Data and AI Ideas Portal for Customers

Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Post ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea

Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests

The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Self-driving cars

Can Visual Recognition be used to power self-driving cars? If so, which feature(s) should I use?

Pricing is confusing and difficult to find

The pricing is difficult to find (all the way towards the bottom of the VR homepage), and the feature names attached to the prices don't seem to actually match up with what they're called in the demo and docs. For example, does 'Image Classificati...

Free plan limits are not enough

The free tier limits are too restricting, particularly for custom training.

Classification scores need clarity

From the demo, it seems pretty clear that the tags are returned with percentage accuracy, but the documentation seems to suggest this is not the case. There needs to be clearer communication within the demo on what the scores mean, or there should...

Better error messages

The current error message doesn't tell me if I made an error from my side (e.g. images exceeded size limits) or from the service's side (Bluemix is down).

Recognize ingredients within food images

The food model currently recognizes entire meals, but I would like the ability to parse out individual ingredients from the image.

Make datasets for the VR demo available

Feedback from a user: "I think I would like to grab the data sets for the demos that you show on the webpage, yet neither of them are available which I find very odd. That would probably help me use it if I could have a step-by-step instructions w...

I want to be able to search within an image for similar results.

When using Similarity Search, I want to be able to be able to drag a bounding box around specific items within an image to perform a similar image search. The service only allowed me to analyze the entire image for similar results.

Show more than 100 results for Similarity Search

The service was limited to a max of 100 most similar images - I would like this to be increased to at least 1000, if not unlimited.

Parameterize similarity search results

Users should have the ability to filter similarity results by specific filters or attributes, e.g. "only show me the similar results that have the same color / pattern / shape / texture"
