Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Enlarge the length of MESSAGE parameter in the ACCEL stored procedures over 64kb
The length of parameter MESSAGE is 64kb.
In some cases, 64kb is not enough and the message is truncated.
It occurs for example when you load 100 tables in one calling(100 is the maximum supported tables), we get truncated MESSAGE. ...
Retrieve historic information of operations on tables in IDAA
We have multiple treatment who are updating information on tables in IDAA (SET ON , SET OFF, LOAD).
For reason of tracability and auditability, to have a view on who did (and when) such operations on tables.
Usefull also to investigate in case o...
When IBM asks customers to send IDAA dump files, SSC dump files are automatically encrypted when generated. Thus no way to see inside the encrypted files. Our policy (coming from regulation compliance) doen't allow us to send outside the company f...
Can you come up with a sound solution to support the MS SQL drivers(4, DRDA7) so that queries submitted via these servers end up in IDAA. We are open for any ideas, a possible workaround by using Db2 LUW (Federation Server) in between SQL server a...
Federation is currently supported in IDAA V5, we were an early adopter and are actively using. For that reason we will not move forward with V7 until it can provide the same functionality, so it's probably equally urgent for IBM if you want incom...
Allow management of the HPSS tables' organization keys and associated grooming via Data Studio
We have a need to be able to manage the organization keys and associated grooming operations via Data Studio. We seem to be able to do this with the Shadow Tables but are not able to do this with the HPSS Tables. We (DBA) typically have no need ...

Allow for unique constraint definitions on accelerated tables
We ask to implement an option to allow for unique constraint definition at accelerator level ; this would apply both to Accelerator Only Table ( AOT ) and to shadow-table loaded with IDAA_ONLY option available with Accelerator Loader. DB2® use...
We need the IDAA on z LPAR to have the ability to support dynamic routing. When connecting to z/OS LPARs on the same CEC using Hipersockets and OSA cards, IDAA is unable to determine the proper route to send data back to z/OS.
IDAA Sailfish v7 - Improvements on the query optimization engine
The customer is testing a set of the 20 key longest queries. Some of them are performing worst than IDAA v5. After the analysis of a performance engineer, there is an understanding that if early aggregation is improved, the queries times can reduc...
