We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Post your ideas
Post ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,
Post an idea
Upvote ideas that matter most to you
Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
In our environment, we have many queries with predicate: "expression op expression". As they don't use indexes they're performing a table scan. We would like DB2 to be able to use indexes to resolve this type of predicate. Examples: SELECT [id], [...

Enhance functionality of WITH clause to operate with DELETE and UPDATE in DB2 SQL statements like others flavours of SQL
Our team uses IBM DB2 188.8.131.52 Database Server for development activities. We see limitations of DB2 SQL WITH clause to work with only SELECT unlike other flavors of SQL like T-SQL which operates other DML operations.

So I know there is a Mongo listener so that you can speak mongo to DB2. I also know DB2 understands the MySQL dialect; there should be a listener so that applications can connect to it, the app thinks its mysql, but the back end is db2.
Default of for read only for all select statements
As you might have noticed, the "for read only" clause of the select statement in DB2 is not widely known nor used. Most standards select statements going through the DB2 engine have the risk of becoming an ambiguous cursor with sub-optimal perform...
