We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post an idea
Upvote ideas that matter most to you
Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Reduce the number of Db2 threads when replicating table with XML column
When a table with a XML column is replicated, we observed a high number of SMF Db2 accounting records, one for each row that a have a XML column.
The records are due to Db2 threads created by the replication process.
As the Db2 SMF records are g...
QREP DDL replication, add UNICODE factor for column length
When replicating from non-unicode to unicode, the legth of char/varchar target columns needs to be extended. Example: create all CHAR/VARCHAR columns at the target with source_length*2 and implemented an additional life belt with OKSQLSTATES = 220...
QREP is increasingly become to a key infrastructure component for customers z Systems platform resilience. However, the QREP did need quite a lot MIPS to support. This requirement is for QREP to change some part to be zIIP eligible, specifically f...
Single Consistent Tool for Defining and Administering QRep Subscriptions
Consistent and comprehensive client tools are required for defining, administering and operating queue replication. Today the Replication Center and Replication Dashboard exist, and there are some functions that neither of these support and have t...
Document process for publication as opposed to subscription migration
The manuals document the process to migrate ALL *subscriptions* to a new Q capture task. Our scenario involved migrating single publications one-by-one (by sendq) to an existing actively used Q capture task. Please update the replication guide for...

System : InfoSphere Replication Server(Q replication) is real-time database replication solution for better control of DB2 replication. Description : Customer want to check or before image and after image condition each row processing to control s...
To enable capture log buffer flush periodically (Infosphere Replication Server)
Sometimes, there are too small data to replicate but busy logging which are not interested in. Q Capture log read should be quick enough even busy logging. Customer request the periodical flush of log buffer(logrdbufsz) with optional new parameter.
z/OS has 65536 code page for Chinese character. CAST_TO_VARCHAR2 does not make any change in character. But the expression with Chinese character causes performance problem. For character in RAW to VARCHAR2, Qrep should ignore the expression CAST_...
