ALTER table DATA CAPTURE NONE not detected by IIDR QREP or CDC

If 'ALTER table DATA CAPTURE NONE' is executed against a table that is actively replicating, any changes made to the source data will not be captured or replicated until ‘ALTER table DATA CAPTURE CHANGES' is executed. This would cause the target...

Display of replication throughput per subscription

Today Q Apply stores detailed performance statistics on queue level. This idea raises the request to store certain Q Apply throuput statistics (like rows_processed) on subscription level. Background: Today it is very difficult / sometime impossibl...

Q-Capture (on LUW) supports to use a dedicated MQ publish thread to perform all IBM MQ operations...

Currently, there is "parallel_mqthread" && "mqthread_bufsz" parameters, but it only used on z/OS. Cx hopes these features can support on LUW as well, which can specify whether the Q Capture program should use a separate thread to publish m...

Request for supporting MQ automatic client reconnect

As we know, IBM MQ supports multi-instance configuration and automatic client reconnect since version 7.0.1. Recently we found the latest Q-Relication (11.4.0) even not support such a basic function( automatic client reconnect with multi-instance ...

Automate restart of IIDR tasks when RRS terminates

We had issues with RRS recently which were solved via a maintenance cycle. During those issues, our IIDR Capture and Apply tasks failed and required manual restart. We have the option TERM=N enabled yet the Capture/Apply tasks were not restarted w...

Q Replication to Kafka Targets

Kafka evolves as a platform for real time data streaming, analytics, and event processing. For enterprise customers the challenge is to let data originating on IBM z flow to Kafka. Popular options are Kafka APIs, MQ, data replication. Only data re...

Q Capture/Db2 LUW: Replicate DROP COLUMN-operations

If the source table of an active subscription is altered by a DROP COLUMN operation, there is high risk of continuous data corruption on that table due to incorrect reading of Db2's transaction log entries from that time on. The current workaround...

The customer would like to know all the related tables associated with an uncommitted Unit of Recovery (UR).

If there is an uncommitted UR (a.k.a transaction) on the Capture side, is there a method for QREP to quickly locate the tables related to the uncommitted UR?

Possibility to execute STARTQ command with "CAPTUREUPTO" option

In high workload environments it would be very useful to let QCapture work on a STARTQ command with predefined end. Currently this can be done by a STARTQ command and after the SendQ is active a subsequent STOPQ with captureupto. But if for some re...

Request for re-try / reconnect mechanism

We'd like to request Replication to have re-try / reconnect mechanism even without MQ multiple instances. Because currently it doesn’t support MQ multiple instances, we can use SLB, but if it has no re-connect, we can do nothing.
