Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Option to get a warning if strings are truncated during an insert

Many times a DBA is called to check upon a slow process. Most of the times those processes are running a slow query.Sometimes it's hard to know if the query is using the best query plan or not. A DBA can reproduce the query, but it it was prepared...
Upgrade of secondary server without restore from primary
Assuming we're upgrading a sever which is a primary server in a MACH-11 cluster, it should be able to save all the new page images (of changed pages during the conversion) in the file system. Very similar to what we do in the CONVERSION_GUARD feat...

We are using IMS v11.5 and Db2 v9.1 for z/os with coexistence option. We want to receive a message in syslog saying the cthread threshold was reached or an SQL Code/State returned to application for error handling to prevent queuing on IMS side.

With DB2 Ver 10 ECSA consumption has shifted from DB2 DIST address space to the DB2 MSTR address space. This is thread related storage and increases as the number of active DBAT connections increases. There is a need to track this for each individ...
DB2 should not attempt to start accelerators until TCP/IP connectivity is established
IDAA accelerators are needed to speed up processing many of our DB2 queries..We require that the accelerators are started and functional after a DB2 starts up. If they are not functional, this will result in production query slowdowns and other op...
