We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Post your ideas
Post ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,
Post an idea
Upvote ideas that matter most to you
Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Allow for default parameters on dynamically executed utilities
Sometimes while executing a job from a compare on two objects GOC will dynamically execute a utility. In my case this is a REBUILD INDEX. We need the ability to add additional parameters to this such as SORTDEVT.
From the OC set the GENRELS = 'Y' option from the panel RFE 124526
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=124526 We would like to perform a "compare" between 2 tables ignoring any RI relations with the "child" tables. We do not want to ignore the Foreign Keys of t...

MIG panel options should default to only the most necessary - with advanced options as a choice
When generating an unload from the MIG panel, we are presented with a lot of options - which is confusing if you don't use this function often. We would like be presented only with the most necessary options as default.
The select prototype for tables should include the option for selecting a row using a RID. We would use this e.g. when we encounter errors rebuilding unique indexes, running check data or loading data.
Provide a way to run CM Batch with CAF, so that the RRS limitation is bypassed and DSNREXX can be used in REXX verification exits.
The costumer's DBA team want to avoid any new tablespace creation not using Partitioned by Grouth Universal Tablespaces. As MAXPARTTITIONS is not a suitable override mask, we try using a REXX verification mask in the form: VER,TS:REXX(ADBDSIZE, DB...
allow NOPAD as it makes a lot of sense if you have a lot of varchar. We are really struggling with space when not using it.
There is no support for adding options like NOPAD to the UNLOAD for the catalog copy. So the UNLOAD statement will have to...
DIAGNOSE MEPL FOR EACH PRODUCT TO FIND RSU/PUT LEVEL
We have a DAIGNOSE MEPL to list all the PTF and to identify the required PTF and it's RSU/PUT level only for DB2 system level.
I'm proposing such a Utility or JCL for RFE/idea which helps us to find similar kind of LEVEL of code which applied to ...
