We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Post your ideas
Post ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,
Post an idea
Upvote ideas that matter most to you
Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Show meaningful error message when a RStudio pod can not be startet because the system cannot request the needed resources
As a Data Scientist I frequently need to start runtime environments. Often these are small enough and they quite naturally fit the available resources. Sometimes however, there is a very large environment needed. Therefore I would like to see an m...
Allow Microsoft SQL Server connection to authenticate to Active Directory
The CP4D default Microsoft SQL Server connector does not handle authentication with Active Directory. Instead customers need to create a service account ON the SQL Server itself. This is probably due to lack of properly passing authentication toke...
Administrators can limit resource usage on a per project or per user basis
In CP4D 2.5, any user can create data transfer projects and analytics projects, and there is no limitation about creating projects. In addition, there is no way to limit usage of resources per project or user. ("resource" means disk space, memory,...
RStudio or Python Runtime environments are automatically restarted when memory limits are reached
RStudio or Python Runtime environments are automatically restarted when memory limits are reached without any information to the data scientist and all results are gone. A better behavior would be if the application RStudio or Jupither/lab would g...
Default RStudio environment definition should be increased to 2 vCPU and 4 GB RAM.
As Data Scientist we are working a lot with RStudio. The default RStudio environment definition (1 vCPU and 1 GB RAM) is too small for RStudio. The limit of 1 GB is quickly reached and the pod is then restarted. And you do not understand what happ...
add/remove collaborators in Transformation Project
Transformation projects has the following problem, it is not possible to restrict access to different projects by users, all users with data enginering role can access all projects. The requested improvement lies in being able to add and remove co...
Python packages installed by the Data Scientist are not persistently stored in the WSUSER home directory like in RStudio
When a runtime environment is stopped, the installed Python packages are also deleted. And you have to install the packages again when starting the runtime environment or after starting by Python program. This can take a long time for some package...
We are looking for usage stats of our CPD environment. I found this doc https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6201850 , however this talks about exporting the audit info to external logging systems like Splunk. We would like to directly see the u...
CP4D pods should have the dependency information for Openshift Topology view.
To support CP4D running on Openshift rapidly for customers,
we tried to understand where is the cause and which pod should stop/start
based on their dependency.
