We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Post your ideas

Post an idea
Upvote ideas that matter most to you
Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Possibility to load CDC SMF data into Db2 for z/OS tables for reporting
We customized CDC (Apply and Capture Task) to write several statics into SMF. But as of today there is no official support (JCL/ sampling) how to parse and prepare those SMF data to import them into Db2 tables or spreadsheets for further reporting...
Tolerance for alter table add/drop column for Oracle
We use table -> table replication. If there is a common alter table add column change the replication goes down and we have to update source / target table definition, stopp all subscriptions, have to set a bookmark and after that we are able t...
Need a way to activate TCP KeepAlive on management console
On an enterprise environment is highly probable that between the Management Console and the Access Server there are firewalls. Many times we get socket errors on the console because presumably the firewall closed the connections due to inactivity. ...
CDC engine for DB2 LUW : Getting support for range partitioned, MDC, RCT tables out of the grey zone
Since CDC 11.3.3 there is a documentation page in knowledge center which explicitly states that range partitioned, range clustered tables and partitioned table will not be replicated by CDC for DB2 LUW. https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/...

Recently, we have been troubled with long running URs. Because of this, all of our subscriptions failed with staging space memory errors. In this case we needed to modify the cdc agent with ENDUR command. However, this command can be entered for a...

This Request for Enhancement is to modify IIDR CDC for z/OS to reduce its priced general CPU consumption by moving some consistent CPU processing to non-priced zIIP eligible processing. IIDR CDC is a large general CPU consumer in our shop resultin...
Add a Feature to Replicate Microseconds Portion of Timestamp
We use IIDR CDC on z/OS for replication using DB2 data on z/OS as the source and a flat file on a non-z/OS platform as the target. We have encountered a situation where the microseconds portion of the timestamp value on a DB2 z/OS table is not ret...
