Spectrum LSF

Showing 471

In the world of Multi-core processors, the context switches per second has become a KPI. It should be a standard performance metric like mem, r1m, etc.

When we try to oversubscribe hosts, it would be very beneficial to have ctx/second available as a base metric. It's available in all OS' these days. We could set a busy threshold for that say above 40k/second. For the longest time (maybe 31 years)...

Allow RTM to show jobs 'submitted' between ranges from job details page

We are in the middle of a bench-marking activity and it occurred to me that there is now way to say in RTM show me jobs that were submitted between these two dates. It would be helpful to have that filter available.

Ability to easily load missing LSF event streams and LSF accounting data

Customer has gaps in data loading due to problems with ElasticSearch and is looking to fill these gaps with some way of easily loading the missing data to Elastic Search. One idea would be to add a command to load data in a specified date and time...

Allow Session Scheduler to support the queue level Job Starter when the Session Spreads to Multiple Hosts

In testing of Session Scheduler, it works perfectly, on secondary hosts, it does not seem to respect our job starter which will limit our ability to deploy Session Scheduler more broadly. Closing this gap is important.

Allows Session Scheduler Account Directory and moving parts to support the lsf.conf variable LSB_STDOUT_DIRECT.

We recently were able to confirm that if the user leaves off the SSCHED_ACCT_DIR in lsb.params, that they can set the same as an environment variable, and eventually the Session Scheduler account file will end up in that location, but the users re...

Add user group filter for bacct and bhist

To evaluate jobs w.r.t. user groups/fair share groups I would like to have a filter for user groups in bacct and bhist similar to the option -G of bjobs.

bjobs should show LIMITs ( MEMLIMIT / RUNLIMIT ) from queues or applications, please improve it.

Currently LIMITs settings ( MEMLIMIT / RUNLIMIT ) from queues or applications did NOT show in "bjobs -l" output, only job-level setting did. But the LIMITs are still effective in job environment, so it may deliver wrong information to user until j...

Ability to browse LSF documentation via version/point-in-time

LSF documentation is not versioned — the documentation you see is essentially the latest version. We often want to know when a particular configuration parameter was first introduced, e.g. if you are running LSF 10.1.0.8, is configuration paramete...

Use all applicable NUMA Memory information on a machine to determine available Memory resources before dispatching a job to a machine

We were noticing that jobs were being terminated by LSF with the message: TERM_MEMLIMIT: job killed after reaching LSF memory usage limit.Exited with exit code 137. Yet, this was happening before the job had even consumed the amount of memory rese...
