The Wells Fargo Customer Excellence team is chartered to build and deliver high priority analytic products. Wells Fargo selected IBM CPDaaS as their solution to 1) virtualize data from Wells Fargo's on-premise data sources and 2) build analytic solutions. Most of the data needed for the analytic products is stored in Wells Fargo's Teradata data store. By policy, Wells Fargo requires any connection to production Teradata data stores to include query banding.
The CPDaaS Teradata connection provides for an optional query band expression, but that functionality is not working in CPDaaS. See IBM Cloud support case CS4197462 "Errors Saving TeraData Connection and Query Band Meta Data Not Passed Along to Database".
A query band is a set of name-value pairs that can be set on a Teradata session or transaction to identify a query's originating source to enable better Teradata workload management. See Query banding in Teradata Tools and Utilities Teradata Preprocessor2 for Embedded SQL Programmer Guide.
