Data Refinery

The data refinery does not convert string to a Date. Even though it is the first step in the job flow. When the job is finished, the resulting CSV and column that was supposed to be converted is still read as a string. This make time series analysis impossible on Watson

    As noted, Data Refinery does currently auto-convert strings to dates where it can determine that the string is indeed a date. If there are particular cases where this is not working, please provide the specific scenario. Marking this as existing in product.

    Can you please clarify the data source types and formatting where you are not able to convert strings to dates? Data refinery does support automated or manual conversion of fields to dates. See attached example of a .csv file uploaded to a project where the date field is initially considered a string but is then auto-converted to date upon opening in refinery:
