Adobe is working on a use case where they would like to read data from TM1 (Planning analytics), run timeseries analysis using SPSS and Watson Machine learning and feed the result back to TM1. They are doing this work on Cloud Pak for Data on IBM Cloud SaaS offering. TM1 is not supported as a data source for WML on IBM cloud yet. There is open ticket CS3534872.

We were able to use IBM Planning Analytics cube views for a data source in SPSS and Watson. However when we deployed the service, they were not allowed as data sources anymore. The work around we are aware of is to export the data from IBM Planning Analytics to a relational database, run the service, load the results back to the relational database, and then load it into IBM Planning Analytics. The end goal is that the user could create a view on a new cube, place the view in a a copy of an existing SPSS and/or Watson work flow and then have it provide the results back out. The work around would require developers to have to create the temporary table in the database, and create the read/write TI processes.
