Conditional confirmation of a caller’s utterance based on a confidence threshold.

Here is a hypothetical example, where the confidence threshold is set between 75 and 85%

  • System:How may I help you?

 

  • Customer:I need to track my package
  • Confidence factor = 89% (above range).
  • The system proceeds to the next prompt in the WISMP journey
  • OK. Does your tracking number begin with 1Z?
  • Confidence factor = 63% (below range)
  • The system re-prompts “I’m sorry, I didn’t get that. How may I help you?
  • Confidence factor = 81% (within range)
  • The system confirms “OK, track a package, if that’s not right say go back.
