Make it possible to warn when modifying users and/or menu groups when license overage is reached

When adding or modifying users or menu groups in Cognos Controller, it would be really handy if the administrative user could get a warning about any possible license violation as a result of the action.

For example:

  • Let the user add how many Admin and User licenses that they have in f.x. General Settings

  • When a menu group or users are added and/or modified, run the check in the database and then display a warning about possible overage to the recorded number of licenses (with an option to proceed or cancel).

Yes, there is a very good report that lists the details, but it may not be known by all super users. And it's also an additional step to perform after doing the changes.

This would be more apparent that it might cause issues in a future license audit situation.
