Controller Web error handling (with relation to invalid actualities / submissions)

With current version of Controller (v11), if you have a 'rogue' (invalid) submission (where it refers to an actuality that has been deleted in the past, so no longer exists) then it is impossible to launch Controller Web.

Specifically, as soon as you logon to Controller Web you get this error:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Internal Server Error
URL: http://servername:9080/fcm.web/api/commonworkspace/entities STATUS: 500
Unexpected error.
Log entry: server=servername, NDC=ADM@database, Time=23-04-23 17:01.59
For more details, please use the button below.
Failed URL: /fcm.web/api/commonworkspace/entities
Exception: Unexpected error.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

In other words, you suffer from the problem described here: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/internal-server-error-status-500-failed-url-fcmwebapicommonworkspaceentities-logging-controller-web

It is *very* difficult to troubleshoot this, because there is no useful message that appears in the error (or in a log)

=> You have to do some guesswork/trial-and-error by looking at the SQL tables "xsubm" and "xid"

It would be much more convenient if IBM could reprogram Controller Web so that (if it found a submission that related to an actuality that did not exist) it actually told you this in a 'nice' way.

=> My enhancement request is that Controller Web says something like "Invalid Submission 2001AC found - Please check for errors in that submission" and then allowed you to carry on using Controller Web (but not that submission).

Many thanks!

    That should not prevent from opening controller web, a defect will be created with medium priority.
