Improve Polish Translation in IBM Cognos Controller Web

We have identified incorrect Polish translations in IBM Cognos Controller Web interface for basic form types. These terms are used daily and are critical for usability. Current translations are not only inaccurate but misleading:

  • English: Standard form → Current Polish: standard od
    Meaning of current translation: “standard from” – this phrase is incomplete and nonsensical in Polish.
    Correct: formularz standardowy

  • English: Free form → Current Polish: bezpłatnie od
    Meaning of current translation: “free of charge from” – this suggests a cost-related context, which is completely wrong.
    Correct: formularz elastyczny (dowolny)

Such errors confuse users and undermine confidence in the product. In the era of AI-driven translation, clients find it unacceptable that the software uses incorrect wording that is neither literal nor contextually correct. This issue has never been reported before, but expectations have changed significantly with advancements in AI.
Proposed solution:
Update Polish translations for these terms to reflect accurate and professional wording.

    Thanks for letting us know. We are working with an external vendor for our translations, we will investigate why those strings have not been correctly translated. Anyway It is planned to be fixed in the next release (11.1.2 FP1)
