Detailed Status and Logging for API-Based Data Loads in Controller

Current Challenge

In the Classic Client, detailed log reports are available for data uploaded to Controller. Similarly, Controller Web provides status and detailed logs for consolidations, manual web imports, and a summary of Classic imports, including downloadable details.
However, there is currently no functionality to capture status or detailed logs for data imported into Controller via APIs.

At present, we rely solely on API responses from the calling or consumer application to determine whether data loading has completed successfully or partially. If issues arise during the loading process and API responses are not returned as expected, we lack visibility into the data upload progress and cannot identify where the process may have stalled internally.

Proposed Enhancement

Introduce a feature in both the Classic Client and Controller Web to provide:

• A dashboard view for monitoring API-based data loads.

• Downloadable detailed status and logs for each data load executed through APIs.

This enhancement should ensure traceability and provide evidence of data loading into Controller, even in scenarios where errors occur in receiving API responses from the calling application or API consumer.
