Controller Web import specifications must allow the reuse of a column for different field definitions to avoid customers having to produce duplicate columns

In the version 11.1.1100.47 and forwards it is not possible for in import specification created in Controller Web, to re-use a column in a file 2 or more times for a field in the import spec. This was possible in previous versions.

The fact that the user cannot reuse a column means they have may have to add multiple columns in their files, meaning duplicate columns and increasing the risk for error.

do you need this duplicate when you use only substring or concatenate ? , We changed the behavior due to complain from customer using by mistake ( not on purpose) the same column index .

Agreed, this is very frustrating and a step backward with Web functionality. Where customers are upgrading their product experience should be seamless. This complication forces an unwanted discussion around import spec design and process update that impacts the local users.
