Import specification in web with at least same level of functionality as in classic

Data import: functions / operations, such as in CCR Classic for definition of import specification; Import spec should at least be as powerful as in Classic.  

At the same time there should be low barrier / self service access to import functionality for reporting site users – as in Controller Web today. Possibility to centrally define import specifications and distribute to certain users to be used in Web.  

This idea was raised out of the IBM Controller User Group DACH.

    We purposefully re-wrote the import specification in Classic to facilitate features like text import, drill to detail and in process error correction as well as to make import specs more user-friendly for non-expert users like those at subsidiaries. At the time we clearly communicated that this was MVP (minimum viable product) and invited partners and clients to raise e enhancement requests. Those requests however should be specific, should not be linked to Classic functionality and instead linked to a specific problem that need to be solved. So, instead of saying we need “looping”, the problem statement might perhaps be that “we need to import 12 periods of data from one file where the periods are presented in columns, this applies to forecast and budgets for example”.
