Cognos Data Modules Packages

Currently users are using data modules to create their own models and one of the available sources to choose from is packages . when user chose 2 different packages ( even if both of them read from the same data source ) local processing will be enforced to link between the data from the different packages this affects report performance and sometimes cause it not to work . What we are requesting here so that Cognos check if the same data source used , even within data modules , to send the whole query to be processed on database level since this improves the performance .
