Problem statement: In Cognos 11, a user with either the Professional Author or Business Author role can delete the entity folder for their company. These users have write permissions to the entity specific folder since they should be able to create content (create/edit reports, dashboards etc) in that folder. We wanted help to hide the delete option through customization with no impact to the read/write/traverse/execute permissions.
How to reproduce: Log in as professional author >
Team Content > navigate to folder ... > then we can notice delete
Our current state of workaround in cognos 10: Since the delete folder option is at the tool bar level we disabled the delete button on toolbar so that users cannot delete any report folders but still can create/edit reports and folders under that reports folder.
