Run custom visualizations as PDF and/or Excel

Since the arrival of the custom visualizations in Cognos Analytics 11.1.4 we have been able to do pretty much anything with it except export it.

Most of our customers still rely heavily on mediums such as PDF and Excel spreadsheets and having the option to run every part of their report as PDF and/or Excel is crucial.

    The image service enables customers to export custom visualizations in PDF and Excel formats. This change was introduced in Cognos Analytics 12.0 release version. The image service is not enabled by default and you must install and configure the service to use it. The image service is available within the Cognos Installer.
