View Job Step Status As In Cognos 10

In Cognos 10.2, users had an option to "View the details ... after closing this dialog" when running objects (i.e. reports, views, jobs) in the background. This was especially helpful for jobs, because you could see the overall progress and the status of each job step. You could also see this step-by-step progress from "My activities and schedules" and viewing the run history details.

However, neither of these options are available in Cognos 11.1.7. There is no checkbox in the "Run as ..." screen. And the current tab of "My subscriptions and schedules" only has options to cancel or suspend. Therefore, users cannot see the step-by-step progress of their jobs.

We cannot grant admin access to every user with a job, so they could view the legacy Admin console. We can direct users to the legacy "My Activities and Schedules" screen, but this requires word-of-mouth link sharing and/or a Cognos custom extension, and requires users to interface with two different UIs.
