Cognos Analytics v11, LDAPS and FIPS Enabled

We are planning to deploy Cognos Analytics v11.x on Redhat for a major federal government. Integrating with AD/LDAP and FIPS Enabled. However, your product does not support FIPS enabled as of today. Our environment requires FIPS enabled. Thus, need Cognos Analytics v11 to integrate with AD/LDAPS and FIPS enabled. As of today, if FIPS is enabled, NOT able to connect to AD/LDAPS. Need this capability asap.

    Hi, in Cognos Analytics 11.2.4 we delivered FIPS as a feature within the product. This should meet the requirements for this Idea.

    To deploy software into a US Federal engagement requires valid FIPS 140 certification. It's not a "nice to have", its written into the contract boilerplate, because it comes out of US FISMA (which requires enforcement of the FIPS, and everything but FIPS 140 is easy.) Its not just capability, it's a matter of contractual compliance.

    Hi, I understand that FIPS is not supported however i would like know how to enable FIPS in Cognos? you mentioned " As of today, if FIPS is enabled, NOT able to connect to AD/LDAPS". That means i assume you figured out steps to enable FIPS. Can you share them directly with me rambabum@netapp.com
