Ability to reuse/reference report elements in Dashboards

We need an ability to either reuse (copy&paste) or reference (like in Workspace) elements from Reports in Dashboards. Optimally we have the choice which way we want to use for the specific use case.

Copy&paste contents from a Report to a Dashboard is definitely currently not possible in 11.1.7 as the following document illustrates: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/cognos-analytics/11.1.0?topic=content-copying-pasting-assets

In Workspace it is possible to reference not only whole reports but parts of reports (lists, crosstabs, ...). This is a very nice way to present content from existing different reports in a consolidated way and not having to recreate it.

Our customers have app. 1 million Reports and don't always want to rebuild/recreate contents in Dashboards.

We want to unlock Dashboards for our customers, but that's one of the reasons holding us back right now.

    Thank you for submitting this idea. While this is not something that we are currently planning, we are looking at more flexible ways to embed your Cognos content in the future.
