Dashboards upgrade after upgrade of Cognos Analytics

All dashboards need to be upgraded manually after upgrade of Cognos Analytics to a newer version. The reports can be upgraded by the content job but dashboards couldn't.

It will take a lot of efforts from our side to update all dashboards manually. Could you add content job (like for reports) to upgrade dashboards?

    Hi,

This RFE is marked 'Delivered', but afaik even the latest CA-11.2.3 still doesn't offer a 'dashboard global upgrade' mechanism, thru a content job or so, like the global upgrade of reports allowed thru the content task "Report Upgrade...".

Currently in CA-11.2.3, when opening an 'old' dashboard, you still get the message " your dashboard has been upgraded. Save now to maintain optimum performance " , likewise the previous CA versions.

Could you please double check and remove the 'Delivered' status cause it's not delivered yet ? Thanks.

Yesterday , the monday after the maintenance weekend, we observed that when openening a dashboard the dashboard is upgraded. So last week it did not and this week it does upgrade.
We don't know if it has something to do with the maintenance weekend or that it has been solved by a seperate action, but we are very happy that this problem is solved.

We have a lot of content in our 11.1.7 environment. When we upgrade the env to 11.2.2 dashboards have problems with colors because the dashboards are not upgraded. When we open such a dashboard, the dashboard-upgrade does not take place.
When we export the dashboard and import it again, then when opening the dashboard it will do an upgrade. The problem with the colors (and there might be more) are solved after the dashboard-upgrade.

Because we can not export just dashboards, we have to put them in a seperate folder, export, import and move them back in place. That's not really an option.
Because of this we will probably prospone the upgrade from Cognos 11.1.7 to 11.2.2 untill this is solved.

One way to do it is export all dashboards and import them again. When opening a dashboard, the dashboard will upgrade automaticly.
Not really a good solution, because you can not export just dashboards.

Due to Log4j we did an update to Planning Analytics Workspace 2.0.71. Afterwards we noticed the following message when opening an existing dashboard/book: Your Dashboard has been upgraded. Save now to maintain optimum performance.

Please give us an opportunity to automate this update of all dashboards in PAW. We have hundreds of dashboards that needs to be updated and we don't want to open each manually.
