Data modules - Possibility to control access to different data sources

We want to control which data sources (Packages, Data sets, Files, Data Modules, Databases) our customers could use when they create and edit data modules. Currently there is no possibilty to restrict the available data sources.

Initially they should only be able to use packages as a datasource for data modules.

Hi, a similar capability to the one you describe here is in development. This will allow you to set the capabilities on a package to restrict whether it can be used in a data module. The difference is that you'd modify the capabilities associated with a package to control whether it can be used in a data module.
