Please contact Support to log a defect on 11.1.7 FP5 issue with IE-Mode. We specifically test Query Studio with IE. If it's also broken for IE, we will provide a fix. This sounds like a known issue.
11.1.7 FP5 broke Query Studio for Edge in IE-Mode. I have close to 3000 query studio users. IE-Mode has worked perfectly since we migrated to Edge in March of this year. Internet Explorer is no longer available and close to half of these users are not permitted to use Firefox. We need Query Studio to continue to work, as end users cannot be expected to use the full Report building tool. There are no in-product alternatives with a simple user interface to allow users to easily perform ad-hoc queries.
Unfortunately, as Query Studio has been deprecated, we do not plan to provide conformance updates for Query Studio. We strongly encourage our clients to continue (or start) to use in-product alternatives for these legacy studios.
