I am requesting a change to the RunProcess function that would allow it to convert a string to numeric just as the current ExecuteCommand function operates.

It has come to my attention that the ExecuteCommand function will eventually be discontinued and that the RunProcess function should be used instead. We are currently using the ExecuteCommand function in a generic process that is used to kick off processes from instructions read from a text file. Our generic process allows for running TIs using 0 to 10 parameters. The coding is very simple because all parameter values are passed as strings.

The RunProcess function does not allow passing strings to a numeric parameter. This will make our code very complex because now we need to account for every numeric/string parameter combination. This would make the code very complex.

I am requesting a change to the RunProcess function that would allow it to convert a string to numeric just as the current ExecuteCommand function operates. The process would only throw an error when a string could not be converted to a number for a numeric parameter.
