execute reports, data sets, and jobs using a webhook

The modern data stack involves various technologies for extraction, loading, and transformation of data. Achieving appropriate sequence across technologies can be a challenge but webhooks can resolve this issue to allow different platforms to communicate when they have finished their portion of a process and the next portion should begin. In our scenario, we have transformation taking place in a cloud database and we need reports, data sets, and jobs in Cognos Analytics to execute once the data transformation is complete. If Cognos Analytics had the option to generate a webhook for a particular report, data set, or job then this would be an easy problem to solve. Once our transformation was complete we could use the webhook URL to kick off the next step of the process in Cognos Analytics.
