Ability to notify time-out warning for the user before the actual timeout occur in Cognos Analytics Portal

Why is it Useful:

Accessibility Time-out warning notification enhancement request:  The use of timed events can present significant barriers for users with cognitive disabilities, as these users may require more time to read content or to perform functions, such as completing a detailed prompt page.  Ability to implement a Time out warning notification from the IBMS Cognos Analytics portal to warn the user before the session time expires due to inactivity will increase efficiency and prevent losing data due to unknow timeouts.

Currently, the users are automatically logged off and presented with stale page when the inactivity time limit is reached.  When a user knows how much time they are allowed for a task, they will know whether they can take a needed break and resume their work without needing to start again.

How should it work:

Users with active sessions in Cognos Analytics Portal will be presented with a notification that the application will time out for security purposes.  The notice will indicate that a lack of activity greater than <20 minutes (variable based on client's environment)> will trigger initiate the time out process.  The notification will be based on the inactivity time-out specified in the Cognos Configuration.

    This is a very helpful and simple reminder, especially when multitasking, having multiple tabs open, and dealing with constant distractions.

    This is shown as a contractual requirement for our client. Failure to be able to provide this will negatively impact the contract.
