The administration capabilities always had the ability to show members in a group, but it has never been possible to view it the other way around: what groups is a user/group currently a member of. The user can view their group membership from their profile, but that doesn't aid the administrators as they don't have access to that same view. The only alternative we have is to query the content store, but that is not supported.
The request is to enable administrators to view a user's group memberships through the administration section of CA.
