Copy Reports, Report views without report output and run history

In the managed area of your CA deployment we provide report views for the end users with predefined prompt values and settings.


those report views are configured to show the most current report output when selected and are updated frequently by scheduled jobs.


business and compliance requirements force us to keep a long history of report outputs.

users are taking this report views and copy them into their my content section to adjust the prompt values to their need.


CA is doing a "deep" copy and copies all the available report output versions and run histories to the users my content section.


this causes very long copy times and a blow-up of the content store database.


additionally the historic report outputs are not consistent anymore with the prompt settings configured in the report view (if they got changed after the copy)
