Missing Analysis Studio Functionality

There are missing Analysis Studio functionality that is missing in Report Authoring. If IBM is expecting normal business users to use Report Authoring as a suitable replacement for Analysis Studio, then IBM needs to make all the functionality available and user friendly. Here are a few examples.

  • Provide a streamline way of filter text with Contains or Like statement in the summary or slicer filter. Right now, you have to understand DMR syntax which for some developers, is difficult let alone a business user.

  • The ability to "go down a level" on the columns. Right now, the only option is to drill up or down. This is a problem for those reports where the user has a weeks or months dates and cant get all columns down to the same level.
