Customizable Table Naming in IBM Cognos Dataset Store

I have a suggestion for enhancing the Dataset Store feature in IBM Cognos, which automatically creates a table in DB2 upon uploading a CSV file. Currently, the table names are generated with a pattern that includes a prefix 'Cog' followed by two sets of random numerics and the original CSV file name (e.g., Cog_<numeric>_<numeric>_Test_csv). This naming convention complicates data management and tracking. Additionally, the randomly generated table names pose a challenge for data access and analysis, as it becomes difficult to locate and reference the correct tables. I propose adding an option in Cognos that allows users to specify the exact table name during the CSV upload process or simply creating the table with the same name as the CSV file. This enhancement would streamline the workflow, improve clarity, and provide users with greater control over their data management and analysis processes.
