Cognos Analytics Connectivity to MongoDB Atlas SQL using JDBC

We are testing connectivity between CA and Atlas SQL Interface (MongoDB Cloud DB) using the JDBC Connection by passing all the required parameters as per the guidelines and the test data source connection ends with an error message - (not certified to use with this product). We have downloaded the JDBC driver (mongodb-jdbc-2.2.2-all.jar) from the MongoDB Downloads.

The reason why we are testing this is because the current BI Connector is approaching end-of-life. It will be deprecated and no longer supported in June 2025. MongoDB is transitioning away from the BI Connector for Atlas to Atlas SQL.

We are currently on CA 11.2.4 and as we use lot of workspaces, we are not planning to upgrade to version 12.0.x sooner. So, I would request IBM to enable support and to explore adding Atlas SQL Interface JDBC Driver to the CA 11.2.4 version list.

Regards,
Maheswar Deshpande.
