There is a new function 'Automatic Dashboard' in Cognos 12.0.4 which cannot be hidden from our users, neither with role customization nor with user capability. There are two main issues with that function so we want to have the ability to hide it.
First issue: user session freezes completely when using 'automatic dashboard' with a data module that has a certain bigger amount of tables
Second issue: users get an error when using 'automatic dashboard' with packages that are not enriched
The ability to hide it can be via role customization or user capability. None of them works today.
To solve the first issue it would be a good idea to throw an error when a data module has more than a certain amount of tables, or enable a time out setting that could help stop it from freezing the page.
To solve the second issue, the function 'automatic dashboard' generally shouldn't be available to packages that are not enriched.

We should add functionality into the product that allows users to disable 'Automatic Dashboard' per package or data module. This would allow administrators to control extremely large data sources not being used with this functionality.
