Within Data Modules - when do you decide to give the user an editor rather than a very basic user interface?
For example, you can enter a calculation with a simple creator OR AN EDITOR allowing you to build complex calculations.
You can create a filter using a column, OR AN EDITOR to build very complex filters.
You can use create a query using numerous simple interfaces, such as a union creator, or view creator OR AN EDITOR to type in SQL to create complex query subjects.
And yet you can only create joins using very basic operations - there is NO EDITOR on the join defintion! Without a join editor we cannot replicate some of our FM models within data modules (for example we have joins that look like FACT.CALENDAR_KEY in (CALENDAR.MONTH_KEY, CALENDAR.YEAR_KEY).
It should be a standard that whenever you have a basic interface to create something, there should be an editor for advanced users to create more complex stuff. Like you have for filters, calculations, sql...
