One of the difficulties with this is - what is a dashboard view? A report view only needs to save a prompt page answers.
Consider the many different types of operation a user can perform in a dashboard, and this is whilst not in edit mode -
Drill / Navigate up or down on different charts
apply filters such as top 10
Change a visualisation from one chart to another
apply global/local filter bar filters
navigate across tabs
Apply selections in visualisations to filter other visualisations
Should a dashboard view save all of these operations? And what happens if the underlying dashboard changes to make some of the original operations invalid.
We could start simple and dashboard views would just remember the global/local filter bar settings, along with any parameters that have been set!
It is really neccessary to save and share parameter value selections only
