Modify Default Dropdown Values for New CSV Options

While the newly implemented CSV options for generating custom CSV files are highly appreciated and beneficial for users, we have identified that some of the default dropdown values for the new CSV options are inappropriate and do not align with the RFC4180 standard for CSV files (refer to RFC4180: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc4180).

Although users can customize these options, the default values should ideally be limited to sensible and commonly used selections to ensure usability and compliance with standards. Below are our observations and recommendations:

  1. Line Terminator:

    • Current Issue: The inclusion of TAB as a line terminator is uncommon and unnecessary.

    • Recommendation: Remove TAB from the list of default options.

  2. Field Delimiter:

    • Current Issue: TAB, CR, or LF are unlikely to be used as field delimiters.

    • Recommendation: Include only commonly used delimiters such as comma (,), semicolon (;), and TAB as default options.

  3. String Qualifier:

    • Current Issue: TAB, CR, or LF are unlikely to be used as string qualifiers.

    • Recommendation: Include single quotation marks (') and double quotation marks (") as the default options.

Request:
We kindly request the ability to modify the default values in the dropdown lists for these CSV options or for the default values to be updated to align with the above recommendations. This will enhance usability, improve compliance with CSV standards, and provide a better user experience.
