Request to Reconsider HTTPS Change Due to Business Impact

We are writing to raise an important concern regarding the recent transition to HTTPS and its impact on our organization, STC.

While we fully understand and support the importance of security, compliance, and modern security standards, the recent change has had a significant operational impact on our environment. It has affected a large number of STC employees, including senior management, and has created challenges in accessing and using IBM Cognos as expected.

As STC is one of the largest organizations in Saudi Arabia, with a very large and diverse employee base, changes to widely used platforms can have a substantial organizational impact. In this case, the effect extends beyond individual users and has the potential to affect employee engagement, management participation, and business processes that rely on the platform.

We would therefore like to propose that IBM reconsider the current HTTPS implementation and evaluate the possibility of reverting the change, at least temporarily, while an alternative solution is identified that maintains the required security standards without disrupting our users.

We believe there may be an opportunity to work together on a solution that addresses IBM’s security requirements while also ensuring continuity and accessibility for STC employees and management.
